Job Description

Plumber installs, maintains, and repairs the plumbing systems within a hotel, ensuring safe and efficient water flow, drainage, and sanitation. This includes fixing leaks, unclogging drains, maintaining water heaters, and ensuring proper water pressure. They also inspect plumbing systems for safety and compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation and Maintenance:

Installing new plumbing fixtures like sinks, toilets, and water heaters, as well as maintaining existing systems to prevent issues.

Troubleshooting and Repair:

Diagnosing and repairing plumbing problems, including leaks, clogs, and malfunctioning equipment.

Emergency Response:

Responding to plumbing emergencies quickly to minimize guest disruption and damage.

Safety and Compliance:

Ensuring all plumbing work adheres to safety regulations and codes.

Collaboration:

Working with other hotel staff and potentially external contractors on projects.

Record Keeping:

Maintaining records of work performed and materials used.

Preventative Maintenance:

Performing regular maintenance checks on plumbing systems to identify potential problems early.

Equipment and Tools:

Familiarity with plumbing tools and equipment, including power tools.

Customer Service:

Addressing guest concerns and providing excellent service.
Specific Tasks May Include:

Cutting and threading pipes. Joining pipes with couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, or cement. Testing for leaks. Installing and repairing water heaters. Working with heating and air conditioning units. Fitting appliances like toilets, sinks, and baths. Liaising with contractors as needed. Performing daily checks around the hotel. Ensuring hotel fixtures and fittings are in a safe condition. Performing special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
