Job Description

Plastic Surgeon is responsible for performing reconstructive and cosmetic surgical procedures to restore function, improve appearance, and enhance patients' quality of life. The role involves evaluating patients, planning surgical procedures, and providing pre- and post-operative care in accordance with medical standards and ethical guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

Consult with patients to assess medical needs, expectations, and suitability for procedures Perform reconstructive and cosmetic surgical procedures Develop individualized treatment and surgical plans Provide pre-operative counseling and post-operative follow-up care Diagnose and manage complications related to surgery Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Collaborate with anesthesiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and ethical standards Stay updated with advances in plastic and reconstructive surgery
Common Procedures

Reconstructive surgery (trauma, burns, congenital abnormalities) Cosmetic procedures (face, body contouring, breast procedures) Skin grafts and flap surgery Scar revision and wound management
Required Qualifications

Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) Specialized training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Board certification or equivalent (as per regional requirements) Valid medical license
