Job Purpose:

To operate, monitor, and maintain plant equipment and systems to ensure efficient, safe, and continuous operation of the plant. The Plant Operator ensures all machinery and systems function within established parameters, complying with safety and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate plant equipment and systems such as pumps, valves, compressors, turbines, boilers, and control panels. Monitor instruments and equipment readings to ensure optimal performance. Record operational data, test results, and system adjustments in logbooks or digital systems. Perform routine inspections and minor maintenance on equipment. Respond quickly to alarms or operational issues, troubleshooting and resolving problems promptly. Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the plant and work area. Ensure adherence to all safety, environmental, and operational policies and procedures. Assist with plant shutdowns, start-ups, and emergencies as required. Coordinate with maintenance, engineering, and other teams to ensure smooth operations. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and complete checklists.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or technical certification (ITI/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical preferred). Prior experience (2+ years) in plant operation, utilities, or production is preferred. Knowledge of basic mechanical and electrical systems. Ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work in shifts and under pressure in industrial environments. Physically fit and able to handle operational tasks.

Working Conditions:

Rotational shifts (including nights and weekends). Exposure to noise, chemicals, high temperatures, or confined spaces depending on plant type. Use of PPE (personal protective equipment) is mandatory.

Pay: AED2,800.00 - AED3,600.00 per month
