Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced

Factory Manager

to oversee the daily operations of our plastic recycling facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastic recycling, particularly in PET and LDPE processing, and will be responsible for ensuring efficient production, maintaining quality standards, and managing a team of skilled workers. The Factory Manager will also be responsible for optimizing processes, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management:

Oversee the daily operations of the PET and LDPE recycling lines, including hot washing, sorting, strap production, washing, drying, and pelletizing. Ensure production targets are met while maintaining high-quality standards. Monitor and optimize the efficiency of the water treatment unit.

Team Leadership:

Manage, train, and motivate a team of production staff, technicians, and operators. Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.

Process Optimization:

Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity, reduce waste, and lower operational costs. Ensure the proper functioning of color and polymer sorting systems and other machinery. Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues promptly.

Compliance & Safety:

Ensure compliance with local and international environmental, health, and safety regulations. Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed. Maintain proper documentation for regulatory compliance.

Inventory & Resource Management:

Manage raw material inventory and ensure timely procurement of supplies. Oversee the maintenance of machinery and equipment to minimize downtime. Monitor and control operational costs to stay within budget.

Reporting & Communication:

Prepare regular reports on production, quality, and safety metrics for senior management. Communicate effectively with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders. Collaborate with the management team to develop and execute strategic plans.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.

Experience:

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in plastic recycling, particularly in PET and LDPE processing. Previous experience in a managerial role is required.

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of plastic recycling processes, machinery, and water treatment systems. Familiarity with color and polymer sorting technologies is a plus.

Leadership Skills:

Proven ability to lead and manage a diverse team in a fast-paced production environment.

Problem-Solving Skills:

Ability to troubleshoot operational issues and implement effective solutions.

Compliance Knowledge:

Understanding of environmental, health, and safety regulations related to plastic recycling.

Language:

Proficiency in English is required. Knowledge of Arabic is a plus.

Salary & Benefits:

The salary for this position is competitive and will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional benefits may include health insurance, housing allowance, transportation allowance, and annual leave, in line with Qatar labor laws.

Pay: QAR5,000.00 - QAR8,000.00 per month
