Overview

The Plant & Equipment Inspector ensures that all construction machinery, tools, and equipment used on-site comply with safety standards, operational requirements, and project specifications. This role is critical for minimizing downtime, preventing accidents, and maintaining productivity on infrastructure projects.

Your role

-------------

Inspection & Compliance

Conduct routine and scheduled inspections of heavy equipment, cranes, earthmoving machinery, and other plant assets. Verify compliance with manufacturer specifications, project requirements, and safety regulations (OSHA or local standards). Check calibration and certification of lifting equipment and pressure vessels.

Maintenance Oversight

Monitor preventive maintenance schedules and ensure timely servicing. Identify wear, damage, or malfunction and recommend corrective actions. Ensure spare parts and consumables meet approved standards.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain detailed inspection logs, checklists, and compliance reports. Issue non-conformance reports (NCRs) and follow up on corrective actions. Prepare daily/weekly reports for project management and safety teams.

Coordination

Liaise with equipment suppliers, maintenance teams, and contractors. Assist in equipment mobilization and demobilization checks. Support safety audits and risk assessments related to plant operations.

About you

Education

Degree in Engineering or related field.

Experience

Minimum 7 years in plant/equipment inspection within infrastructure or heavy civil projects in Riyadh, KSA.

Certifications

Knowledge of ISO standards, OSHA safety compliance, and equipment certification. Preferably certified in lifting equipment inspection or equivalent.

Skills

Strong understanding of construction machinery and maintenance practices. Ability to read technical manuals and interpret equipment specifications. Proficiency in MS Office and inspection software.

Other

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in challenging site conditions and travel as required.
