Develops short-term production schedules and managing site logistics and warehousing activities for a specific product line at plant. Works with hauler and business center functional groups for smooth functioning of site planning and logistics activities.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Creates production plans within a 3-month horizon. Ensures plant has adequate capacity to meet demand throughout the short-term plans. Monitors production backlog and execute entries in JD Edwards.
- Completes short-term demand planning analysis and recommends solutions to capacity problems.
- Develops in-plant bulk inventory stocking levels and inventory planning. Monitors material supply and alerts to potential shortages.
- Monitors Stock Keeping Units (SKUs) and contributes to the long-range planning process.
- Maintains logistics system involving inventory management at plant, field warehouse and consignment level.
- Working closely with and business service center functional groups for smooth execution of production and logistics activities. Close communication with hauler companies and other service providers also paramount important.
- Working closely with WPS team and executing the logistics and warehouse operations as per SOP (standard operating procedures) and shinning/local guidelines.
- Understand and Comply with site safety requirements, ISO systems, SOX requirements and 5S
What You Will Bring to Cabot
- General knowledge of inventory management, production planning, logistics and principles.
- Knowledge ERP systems, JD Edwards's knowledge will be added advantage.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelors/University degree in Materials Management, Operations, Logistics or Supply Chain areas.
- 2-3 years related experience
