Job Title: Planning Engineer - MEP

Job Summary

The Planning Engineer (MEP) will be responsible for developing project schedules, coordinating with MEP teams, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely execution of mechanical, electrical and plumbing works in accordance with project timelines, budget, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, update, and monitor project schedules (Primavera/MS Project) for all MEP activities.

Coordinate with MEP designers, subcontractors, procurement, and site teams to align project timelines.

Plan labour, materials, equipment and ensure timely procurement schedules for MEP items.

Track progress at site and ensure work is executed as per the baseline program.

Identify delays, prepare recovery plans, and raise alerts to management.

Prepare regular weekly/monthly progress reports, dashboards, S-curves, manpower histograms.

Conduct progress meetings with project and subcontractor teams.

Ensure MEP execution complies with design drawings, specifications and HSE requirements.

Assist in claims, extension of time (EoT), and variation evaluations.

Coordinate with civil planning teams to ensure smooth sequencing of work.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline.

5+ years UAE experience in MEP planning for construction projects (buildings, infrastructure, fit-out).

Strong knowledge of Primavera P6 / MS Project, project management tools and reporting formats.

Understanding of MEP execution, drawings, BOQ, procurement and installation sequence.

Excellent communication, coordination and analytical skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per month

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Dubai
