Planning Engineer

to manage the planning and scheduling activities for an ADNOC project in Al Ruwais Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate must be a

Planning Engineer

with a minimum of

4+ years of experience in EPC projects in the UAE

. The Planning Engineer will be responsible for preparing project schedules, tracking progress, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring timely delivery in compliance with client and authority requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, update, and monitor detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project, covering all construction phases from mobilization to handover. Coordinate with site engineers, procurement, and subcontractors to ensure alignment with the baseline schedule. Prepare look-ahead programs, weekly/monthly progress reports, and recovery plans in case of delays. Conduct regular site visits to verify actual progress against planned timelines. Integrate project milestones and deliverables with ADNOC approval processes and other relevant authority permits. Analyze critical path, float, and resource allocation to optimize project timelines. Participate in project progress meetings and provide schedule updates to management and client representatives. Support claim preparation, extension of time (EOT) analysis, and delay impact assessments. Ensure compliance with standard project planning guidelines and coordinate closely with EPC project control teams. Maintain and update project documentation, schedules, and reports in coordination with document control.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in relevant field of Engineering. Minimum 4 years of UAE experience in planning for commercial construction projects. Proven experience in EPC projects, familiar with standard procedures, submittals, and reporting formats. Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Office Suite. Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and infrastructure project workflows. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
