Position Overview
Planning Engineer role in Dubai supporting major infrastructure projects for Parsons Corporation. This position focuses on project planning, scheduling, risk analysis, and program control to ensure timely and efficient delivery of complex construction works across multiple packages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and endorse contractors' baseline schedules in line with contract conditions and Parsons recommended practices
  • Validate resource allocation and schedule logic to ensure timely project completion
  • Develop and maintain master schedules integrating multiple work packages and interdependencies
  • Identify potential risks, conflicts, and delays and document them in the project risk register
  • Review progress schedules and identify slippages, critical events, and delay risks with mitigation measures
  • Perform what-if and time impact analysis for variations, changes, and potential events
  • Prepare progress and monthly reports with program analysis, recommendations, and milestone tracking
  • Conduct detailed delay and claims analysis including extension of time and disruption assessments
  • Coordinate with contractors, clients, and stakeholders to resolve planning and scheduling issues
  • Support finalization of contractor programs, reports, and claims with the client
  • Attend project meetings and prepare accurate minutes and planning inputs
  • Prepare trackers and logs to monitor critical design and construction issues
  • Agree and implement progress measurement systems and performance indicators
  • Maintain proper project records and contemporary documentation
  • Issue delay notices and performance letters where required
  • Manage and mentor junior planning engineers, providing technical and leadership guidance
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management from a recognized institution
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in planning and scheduling on infrastructure or large-scale construction projects
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, interfaces, and coordination requirements
  • Extensive experience with Primavera P6 scheduling software
  • Proven ability to manage complex programs and lead planning teams
