Key Responsibilities

• Review and validate contractors' baseline schedules and ensure compliance with contract and project requirements.
• Develop integrated master schedules covering multiple work packages and interdependencies.
• Verify project resources and timelines to confirm feasibility and compatibility with project goals.
• Perform schedule risk analysis and identify potential conflicts, maintaining the project risk register.
• Evaluate progress updates, identify areas of delay, and recommend corrective actions or recovery plans.
• Conduct "what-if" analyses for change events, variations, and potential risks, providing impact assessments and mitigation strategies.
• Prepare monthly progress reports and presentations detailing schedule performance and milestone status.
• Assess contractor claims for extensions of time or disruption using recognized delay analysis methodologies such as time impact and window analysis.
• Lead discussions with contractors, consultants, and clients to resolve planning and scheduling issues.
• Participate in key project meetings and prepare concise minutes and status reports.
• Maintain accurate project records, issue delay notices, and document all schedule-related correspondence.
• Manage and mentor junior planning engineers, fostering a strong planning culture within the team.

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in project planning and scheduling for major infrastructure projects.
• Proven background in highways, bridges, interchanges, and utilities coordination.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and strong analytical and forecasting capabilities.
• Sound understanding of project controls, risk management, and construction sequencing.
• Effective communication and report-writing skills.
• Experience working on RTA projects in Dubai preferred.
