• Production Planning: Develop and implement production plans and schedules to optimize efficiency, minimize downtime, and meet customer demands. Collaborate with various departments to ensure the timely availability of resources, including raw materials, equipment, and labour, to meet production targets.

• Resource Allocation: Monitor and manage the allocation of resources, including manpower, machinery, and materials, to ensure effective utilization and minimize waste. Identify potential bottlenecks and proactively propose solutions to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.

• Capacity Analysis: Conduct regular capacity analysis to determine production capabilities, identify limitations, and recommend improvements. Coordinate with the production team to balance workload and capacity constraints, ensuring smooth production flow.

• Process Optimization: Continuously review and evaluate manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and streamline operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process enhancements, such as automation, standardisation, and lean manufacturing principles, to increase productivity and reduce costs.

• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to maintain optimal levels and prevent shortages or excesses. Coordinate with the procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely replenishment and efficient material flow.

• Project Management: Participate in project planning and execution, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to plan and schedule equipment maintenance, upgrades, and installations.

• Performance Analysis: Collect, analyze, and report production data, including key performance indicators (KPIs), to measure performance against targets. Identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement, and provide regular reports to management, recommending strategies for optimization.

• Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and safety protocols throughout the production process. Identify and address potential safety hazards or risks, promoting a culture of safety awareness among the production team.

• Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

• Proven experience as a Planning Engineer or in a similar role within a glass manufacturing environment.

• Strong knowledge of glass manufacturing processes, including melting, forming, tempering, and finishing.

• Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.

• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and process flow diagrams.

• Advanced proficiency in using planning software and ERP systems.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
