Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Freelance Planning Engineer to support construction projects on a contractual basis. The role involves creating and managing detailed project schedules, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring timely execution of project activities. This position suits a self-motivated professional with strong planning, reporting, and time management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare baseline schedules and update programs using
Primavera P6
orMS Project
. Monitor project progress and provide weekly/monthly status updates. Develop 3-week lookahead programs and highlight potential delays or bottlenecks. Coordinate with clients, consultants, and site teams to ensure alignment with project milestones. Prepare EOT justifications, recovery plans, and delay analysis when needed. Generate progress S-curves, histograms, and other visual reporting tools. Assist in resource planning and cash flow forecasting.Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management. Minimum
5 years of planning experience
in UAE-based construction projects. Strong proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Excel. Knowledge of construction site workflows, sequences, and coordination challenges. Strong communication and independent reporting skills.Preferred:
Experience working as a freelancer or independent consultant. Available for immediate or short-notice start. PMP or PSP certification is advantageous.
