Job Description

Planning engineers determine and develop the most suitable and economically viable construction and engineering methods for projects. It is the responsibility of the planning engineer to estimate a timescale for a project and to ensure that the outlined deadlines are met

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Create and maintain project schedules that support and align with project specifications. Understanding and meeting all contract requirements, review drawings, specifications and BOQ for developing Projects schedules. Interact with the project team to define the scope of work to develop and update detailed schedules, cost information and identification of variances from the original plan. Preparing, Monitoring and tracking project Programs, resources, weekly reports. Evaluate project schedule progress and performance and identify developing problem areas. Analyze critical path and constraints to determine effect of changes to schedule and recommend work-around. Attending and scheduling meetings as required. Assist project team in developing status reports to keep management informed on project progress. Solid experience in Preparing Notice letters and EOT Claims

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements

Degree in Civil Engineering/equivalent from a recognized University Strong analytical, critical, and logical thinking skills. Minimum 5 years' experience in the related field Proficiency in Primavera P6 & MS Office. Communicating skills with projects teams. Ability to focus under pressure and meet deadlines. UAE Driving License is a must.
