JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a

Planning Engineer

who can develops and manages project schedules and plans, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. They are crucial for coordinating resources, identifying potential issues, and proposing solutions to keep projects on track. Their responsibilities span from initial project planning to ongoing execution and closeout.

Candidate must have experience with contractors .

Key Responsibilities:

Schedule Development and Management:

Creating, maintaining, and updating project schedules, including baseline, revised, and recovery schedules.

Resource Management:

Ensuring the availability and allocation of necessary resources (personnel, materials, equipment).

Progress Monitoring:

Tracking project progress against the schedule and identifying potential delays or deviations.

Risk Management:

Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to minimize their impact.

Stakeholder Communication:

Engaging with stakeholders (clients, contractors, team members) to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Report Generation:

Preparing regular progress reports, including schedule analysis, recommendations, and presentations.

Change Management:

Managing and assessing the impact of changes or variations to the project scope or schedule.

Documentation:

Maintaining accurate project documentation, including meeting minutes and contract-related information.

Cost Management:

Assisting with cost estimations and monitoring project costs against the budget.

Quality Control:

Ensuring that project work aligns with quality standards and specifications.

Compliance:

Ensuring adherence to safety regulations and other relevant standards.

Skills and Qualifications:

Project Management Software Proficiency:

Experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar software.

Analytical Skills:

Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.

Problem-Solving Skills:

Ability to identify and resolve issues that may arise during a project.

Communication Skills:

Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Technical Knowledge:

Understanding of engineering principles and construction processes.

Attention to Detail:

Meticulous approach to planning and documentation.

Teamwork:

Ability to collaborate effectively with other team members.

Bachelor's Degree:

Typically a bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management.

Experience:

Typically 2-5 years of experience in project planning and management

.
