Overall Purpose of the role
The Planning Engineer responsible for Project planning and controlling, EOT claims, progress measurement, performance monitoring and controlling. Review Base line Program, detailed periodic reports that ascertain schedule variance explanation and corrective actions required. Ensure timely and accurate project status reporting for management and client, evaluating of contractor submitted EOT Claim and Recovery Program

1. SITE MANAGEMENT & DELIVERABLES - CONSTRUCTION STAGE
Review and convey Engineer's consent to the Contractors' Baseline program of works in line with Contract conditions
Validation of compatibility of assigned resources for timely completion of the project
Arranging coordination meetings with Employer's representatives to demonstrate Contractor's program, Engineer's observations, if any, and necessary conditions to be imposed prior to his consent.
Preparation of consolidated report on contractor's program for taking Employer's consent.
Review and confirm Contractor's Progress Reports.
Prepare Weekly and Monthly reports to Management and highlight all areas of concern.
Preparing variance analysis for each updated Schedule.
Evaluation of contractor submitted EOT Claim.
Person Profile
1. Education and Training
Degree educated - Bachelor degree in Engineering.
Eligible for GCC engineering membership.
Knowledge of local laws and regulations.
Knowledge in International and Regional Codes & Standards.
Excellent command of written and spoken English.
2. Experience
Previous experience of minimum 7 years as Planning Engineer.
3 years minimum experience on a large?sized construction project.
Experienced in FIDIC environment contracts.
Experienced in managing and coordinating project tasks.
A master in the use of planning software Primavera P6 or similar is required.
Experience in Claim Management.
