Job Description

Planning Engineer, will assist the Project Manager/Resident Engineers in delivering the project on schedule, lead the engineering planning and review the contractor's progress including developing strategies, monitoring performances and evaluate and prepare all claims especially EOT reports with the adequate methods.
Planning / Scheduling / Monitoring and Controlling:
+ Preparation of Project Execution Strategy and Contract Packages
+ Preparation of Enterprise Project Structure (EPS) and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) Preparation of detailed design, procurement and construction schedules for the projects
+ Prepare and maintain project plans and schedules coordinates project procedures, including change order/variation order registers, and methods and norms for planning and scheduling
+ Development of Project Organizations and allocation of appropriate Resources
+ Development and reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
+ Analyze critical paths and restraints to determine effect of changes on the schedule and recommends workarounds to mitigate impacts.
+ Highlighting critical items; variance analysis, identification of schedule and cost trends.
+ Develop Action and Recovery plans to support project delivery on time.
+ Develop plans and recommendations for mitigation of impacts of schedule problems.
+ Analyze progress reports against current baseline schedules.
+ Integrate project budget and schedule to support EVM analysis and reporting.
+ Prepare schedule performance measurements reports, forecasts and studies.
+ Prepare project plans and detailed manpower utilization plans
+ Preparation of schedule look-ahead for progress monitoring
Extension of Time Applications
+ Claims analysis and negotiations.
+ Review and Recommendation of Extensions of Time (EOT) for completion of Works
+ Identify the event and circumstance which gives rise to change caused delay
+ Determine liability for the event and contractual entitlement based on the terms and conditions of a particular contract.
+ Develop Cause-and-Effect Diagram based on the facts describing the effect(s) of the event upon the works
+ Demonstrate the impact of the event on the contractor's programme and the project contractual
