Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer who must have at least 10-15 years of Experience in the Construction Field.

Role and Responsibilities

Provide active support to project manager for project feasibility (identify problem areas, delays, trends and forecasts).

Monitor all project disciplines including construction progress, technical submissions progress, procurement, snagging work etc.

Conduct regular site visits to check progress, productivity and improve construction understanding.

Prepare engineering and procurement schedules at a macro level.

Analyze project progress in terms of rate of progress, trends and forecasts and advise the project manager accordingly.

Work closely with the Technical Team to prepare and submit project claims relating to delay notifications and schedule impact analysis for extension of time claims.

Prepare various programs when required:

1. Baseline Program

2. Target Program

3. Work Plans and Look Ahead Programs

4. Recovery Program

5. Revised Program

6. Work Package Program

7. As Built Program

Address project communications (client, consultant, subcontractors, and internal departments).

Prepare periodic progress reports covering:

1. Internal reports to project manager on overall project progress

2. Obligatory reports for client/ consultant

3. Reports to Main Office

Monitor labor productivity for the average monthly and quarterly performances.

Monitor subcontracts progress and manpower deployment.

Conduct subcontract progress meetings if needed and coordinate meetings with the construction team.

Regular reporting to Line Manager.

Qualifications:

Good knowledge of engineering design scope and job work instructions and procedures

Strong familiarity with project management software

Interpersonal skills, ethical values and commitment to continuous improvement

Ability to work under stress and handle stressful situations and meet deadlines

Good report writing abilities

Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with co-workers

Strong teamwork attitude, significant communication skills and problem-solving attitude

Fast and multi-task execution capabilities, strong analytical mind set and imaginative problem-solving ability
