Planning Engineer (construction)

Job Description
To develop, monitor, and control project schedules, resources, and progress to ensure timely completion of construction projects in compliance with contract requirements, specifications, and company objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed
project schedules
usingPrimavera P6
(or MS Project) for all phases of building construction. Developbaseline programs
, cash flow forecasts, and manpower histograms. Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to ensure timely progress updates. Monitor project progress and identify delays or deviations from the baseline schedule. Prepareweekly and monthly progress reports
, including earned value analysis and variance reports. Participate in project meetings to discuss progress, constraints, and mitigation plans. Assist in preparingrecovery programs
andtime impact analyses
for claims and extensions of time (EOT). Ensure compliance with contractual scheduling and reporting requirements. Coordinate with theQS and procurement teams
to align material delivery schedules with project timelines. Support tendering teams by preparing preliminary schedules and resource estimations for new projects.Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
(mandatory).Minimum 5 years of UAE experience
in building construction planning (residential, commercial, or mixed-use). Proficiency inPrimavera P6
,MS Project
, andExcel
. Strong knowledge ofconstruction methodologies
, sequencing, and resource planning. Good understanding ofFIDIC contracts
and project management principles. Excellent analytical, communication, and reporting skills.Job Type: Full-time
