We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Planning Engineer to join our team in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates. As a Planning Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of our projects by developing and maintaining comprehensive project schedules, analyzing data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Develop, monitor, and control project schedules using advanced planning software
Create and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for various projects
Conduct cost and schedule variance analyses to ensure project efficiency
Implement Earned Value Management (EVMS) methodologies to track project performance
Analyze manpower, labor hours, and costs against budget limitations
Perform Time Impact Analysis to assess schedule changes and delays
Collaborate with project managers and team members to align project goals and timelines
Prepare and present detailed project reports for stakeholders
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies
Contribute to the continuous improvement of planning processes and tools
Support the development of project baselines using drawings and specifications
Assist in trend analysis and forecasting to optimize project performance
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in project planning and controls
Advanced knowledge of ORACLE Primavera P6 Project Management Software
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Strong understanding of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and cost/schedule variance analysis
Experience with Earned Value Management (EVMS) methodologies
Familiarity with project trend analysis, contract changes, and claims management
Knowledge of Time Impact Analysis techniques
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Experience in construction or infrastructure projects is preferred
