Planning Engineer - AECOM - Dubai, UAE
Position Overview
This Planning Engineer role supports AECOM's major infrastructure and transportation projects in Dubai. The position focuses on developing project plans, preparing schedules, coordinating resources, and ensuring timely progress in compliance with RTA requirements. RTA Approval is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed project plans including WBS, schedules, and resource plans
  • Analyze project constraints to produce realistic timelines and budgets
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to gather project data
  • Monitor project milestones, identify delays, and apply mitigation strategies
  • Prepare periodic progress reports for management and stakeholders
  • Use Primavera P6 and MS Project to update and maintain schedules
  • Perform resource allocation analysis and propose optimization
  • Coordinate with project managers to resolve scheduling conflicts
  • Conduct earned value analysis and recommend improvements
  • Ensure planning practices comply with Dubai regulations and project standards
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of planning engineering experience
  • Professional Engineering (PE) certification
  • Mandatory RTA Approval
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and scheduling skills
  • Experience in transportation projects preferred
  • Ability to lead cross-functional planning efforts
  • Strong communication and reporting skills
