Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled

Planning Engineer

with 5-7 years of relevant experience in

Project Management Consultancy (PMC)

and

Engineering Consultancy

environments. The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in planning and scheduling for

building and infrastructure projects

and must be currently based in

Abu Dhabi

.

Key Responsibilities:1. Project Planning & Scheduling

Develop, maintain, and update integrated

project schedules

using Primavera P6. Prepare

baseline schedules

, resource histograms, S-curves, and manpower loading. Ensure schedule alignment with contract requirements, project scope, and milestones.

2. Progress Monitoring & Reporting

Track project progress and performance against schedule and milestones. Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for internal and client submissions. Identify delays, variances, and potential risks and recommend corrective actions.

3. Coordination & Interface Management

Coordinate with design teams, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders. Support the project manager in meetings, presentations, and progress reviews. Ensure compliance with PMC/Consultancy procedures and reporting standards.

4. Claims, Delays & Change Management

Assist in delay analysis, EOT claims, and disruption assessments. Review contractor's baseline and revised programs for compliance. Evaluate design changes, variations, and their impact on schedule.

5. Documentation & Compliance

Maintain planning-related documentation and ensure timely submissions. Ensure adherence to contractual, statutory, and client requirements. Utilize project control tools and best practices for effective schedule management.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in

Civil Engineering

, Construction Management, or equivalent.

5-7 years

of experience in

planning & scheduling

, primarily in PMC/Consultancy roles. Strong experience in

buildings & infrastructure

projects (high-rise, mixed-use, utilities, roads, etc.). Proficiency in

Primavera P6

, MS Project, and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint). Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills. Must be

currently based in Abu Dhabi

with good knowledge of UAE construction standards.

Preferred:

Experience working on major government or semi-government projects. Knowledge of FIDIC contracts. Certification such as

PMP

,

PSP

, or equivalent (advantage).
