Job Description

Overview:

We're seeking a detail-driven Planning Engineer who can elevate project performance with precision planning, data-backed scheduling, and proactive risk management. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on UAE construction and fit-out experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to keep projects aligned with timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, update, and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6/MS Project. Monitor progress and prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for internal teams and clients. Coordinate with project managers, site teams, subcontractors, and procurement to ensure schedule adherence. Identify risks, delays, and bottlenecks; propose mitigation strategies to keep projects on track. Prepare baseline programs, recovery schedules, and extension-of-time (EOT) claims when necessary. Track resource allocation and productivity rates to support data-informed forecasting. Review construction drawings, fit-out sequences, and method statements to align schedules with actual execution plans. Assist in planning meetings, progress reviews, and client presentations. Support cost control by aligning schedules with budget forecasts and variations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Planning Engineer within UAE construction and fit-out projects. Proficient in Primavera P6 and MS Project. Strong understanding of construction methodologies, fit-out sequences, and project lifecycle management. Solid analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and deliver against project timelines.
