Job Description

The

MEP Planning Engineer

will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules for MEP works, ensuring alignment with overall project timelines. The role involves coordination with project managers, site engineers, and other departments to track progress, analyze delays, and provide accurate forecasting for project completion.

Responsibilities

Develop, update, and maintain detailed MEP project schedules using

Primavera P6

or

MS Project

. Coordinate with the project team to define project milestones, activity sequencing, and resource allocation. Integrate MEP schedules with main contractor. Monitor site progress, identify delays or bottlenecks, and propose corrective actions. Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, S-curves, and manpower histograms. Review subcontractor and supplier schedules to ensure alignment with overall project timelines. Support project managers in preparing recovery programs and extension-of-time (EOT) claims. Conduct site visits and progress verification to ensure planned vs. actual alignment. Liaise with design, procurement, and execution teams for schedule updates and risk assessments. Ensure compliance with company planning procedures and reporting standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in

Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

. Minimum 6-8+

years of experience

in project planning within the

MEP contracting industry

. Proven experience working on

large-scale building or c

ommercial/residential bldg/highrise Proficiency in

Primavera P6

and

MS Project

. Strong understanding of MEP construction sequences, project management, and coordination processes.

Required Skills

Excellent knowledge of

planning and scheduling principles

. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication and reporting skills. Ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams. Proficiency in

Excel
