Role Overview

:

We are seeking a proactive Planning Engineer to join our Abu Dhabi team. The candidate will be responsible for developing project schedules, monitoring progress, forecasting resources, and supporting management in achieving timely project delivery in line with Abu Dhabi and UAE standards.

Key Responsibilities

:

Develop, monitor, and update project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project.

Track progress against the baseline program and prepare weekly/monthly progress reports.

Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to align execution plans.

Analyze project delays, identify risks, and propose recovery strategies.

Forecast manpower, material, and equipment requirements.

Support tendering teams with time schedules, resource histograms, and planning inputs.

Ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi Municipality (ADM), ADDC, and other local authority requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years' planning experience in MEP contracting within the UAE.

Strong understanding of project management methodologies and KPIs.

Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Ability to work under pressure and deliver results within deadlines.

Software Knowledge

:

Primavera P6 (Mandatory) - project scheduling and resource planning.

MS Project - for supporting schedules and reporting.

MS Excel (Advanced) - progress reports, cash flow, resource histograms.

ERP Systems (Oracle / SAP / BuildSmart / Candy CCS) - for project controls (preferred).

Navisworks / Revit (BIM Integration) - beneficial for 4D planning and MEP coordination.
