Job Description

Synopsis

The Planning Engineer reports to Lead Planning Engineer and assists the Manager CAMO Planning with devising maintenance strategies, procedures and methods for the Maintenance Planning of Etihad fleet while delivering a quality product at optimized costs to the customer for all tasks.

Accountabilities

• Reviews the maintenance forecast of the Etihad fleet to ensure that suitable maintenance slots are allocated whilst optimizing the operation of the aircraft.
• Executes the approved Aircraft Maintenance Program to maintain compliance.
• Ensures that the requirements of all inspections and other maintenance requirements of the Aircraft Maintenance Program (AMP) have been completed.
• Plans the rectification of outstanding Deferred Defects.
• Liaises with customers to ensure they are given the best planning and project support.
• Ensures and manages on timely planning and scheduling of modifications and customer campaigns on their fleets.
• Develops and writes processes and procedures as required for the improvement of the aircraft maintenance planning process/strategies to help ensure that the safety and quality requirements are maintained to the highest standard.
• Optimizes resource deployment and utilization to compile management reports on project status, productivity performance and workload forecasting.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned by Lead Planning Engineer or Manager CAMO Planning from time to time.

Education & Experience

• Tertiary qualifications that meet the eligibility requirements for membership as a charted engineer (e.g. Bachelor degree in the field of Aeronautical, Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic engineering) with a minimum 3 years job-related experience.
• Or Diploma/Aircraft License with at least 5 years of experience in aviation maintenance with a minimum 3 years job related experience.
