We are now looking for Piping & Pipeline Stress Engineer to execute projects and support bids in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Reports To
The Piping & Pipeline Stress Engineer, reports to the assigned Discipline Manager. Job Overview The Piping & Pipeline Stress Engineer is responsible for handling engineering design review and analysis assignments normally involving a major project or several smaller or less complex projects. These projects by nature of their complexity and difficulty require the fully competent application of conventional knowledge in oil & gas. In your role, you will lead and execute piping stress analysis projects in a safe manner and show responsibility towards budget, schedule, and quality. You should have a desire to work on multi-discipline local as well overseas projects and be able to drive discipline goals by working together with the assigned discipline designers and engineers. • Reviews the Client's technical documentation and requirements Is responsible for the design of all piping supports components
  
• Issues project piping stress specification and critical lines list
• Performs calculations of critical piping networks Issues loads to allow the design of pipe-rack and foundations
• Issues technical part of requisitions for all piping supports components required by stress analysis calls for tender
• Issues technical bid evaluation for all piping supports components offers
• Issues technical part of requisitions for all piping supports components purchase orders
• Reviews and approve vendors documents Maintains project technical files and update Company standards
• Must have good knowledge of ASME B 31.3, 31.4 and 31.8 and and extensive experience with ADNOC / Shell DEP standards
• Must have good knowledge and understanding of piping drawings (layouts, GAD’s, isometrics, plot plan).
• Mandatory software skills in Microstation, and ACAD, CAESAR-II and all other necessary software to perform duties as Lead Piping Engineer.
• Should be able to carry out stress analysis independently.
• Understand the interface within the multi-discipline project
• Should take full responsibility for proper and timely execution of project deliverables ensuring full compliance with the quality management system and any project-specific contractual requirements.
• Ensures effective communications among other engineering disciplines and project management teams.
• Coordinate with members of the piping discipline, other engineering disciplines within the organization or project team as well as with Clients, third parties, vendors, etc.
• Participates in progress review meetings and be aware of project status, progress, delays, change notices, performance measurement, lessons learned, and close-out.
• Is able to produce proposals for projects which involve man-hour and schedule estimates for piping discipline
• Should be able to add value plus/ optimization ideas
• Cooperating with other engineering disciplines, customers and subcontractors locally or overseas
• Able to do Technical Bid Evaluations of selected Vendor Offers
• Check the piping engineering deliverables created by designers and drafters

Qualifications

• Engineering Graduate (BEng, BSc. or MSc.) in Mechanical or Technical related degree.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant engineering experience in Piping Engineering ASME B31.3.
• Extensive expertise in piping design and engineering, familiarity in piping materials application and stress engineering is essential.
• Must be fully knowledgeable about codes, standards and recommended practices for this discipline.
• Participation in projects in the Middle East is beneficial.
• Knowledge of PDS, SP3D, Navisworks and other 3D modelling tools.
• Good leadership and coordination, analytic and pro-active approach competence in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Chemical Industries.
• Willingness to overcome challenges and pressure during the peak of the project.
• Willing to do extensive site-surveys during project execution.
• UAE local experience is added value.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Fluent in the English language
