Job Description

Reports to:

Engineering Director, Projects Manager for project related matters.

Responsibilities:

Mechanical design of pressure equipment per ASME BPVC Section VIII Div.1, etc.

Mechanical design of piping systems per ASME B31.3, etc.

Structural design of steel assemblies per industry codes.

Review project specifications to ensure design meets the project requirements.

Provide engineering support in terms of calculations, reports, clarifications and similar outputs to internal and external customers.

Continuously collaborate with the process engineers, applications team, project managers and the drafting group in the design, while meeting project/assigned task schedule.

Initiate and being involved in further development of Company procedures, standards and products.

Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Proficient in the use of Cadworx 3D software and AutoCAD (2D and 3D).

Check & update P&ID's.

Create and review 3D layout & piping models.

Attend 3D model reviews.

Check and approve vendor supplied drawings.

Produce fabrication isometric drawings.

Create and detail general arrangement drawings.

Create pressure vessel models and fabrication details.

Assist piping checker as and when required.

Create and maintain drawing standards.

Make recommendations for improved process and efficiency.

Requirements:

Bachelors or higher Degree of Science or Engineering in Mechanical Engineering.

Fresh Graduate or 0 to 2 years of experience in the oil & gas industry with modular fabrication experience.
