Job Description

Design / detail Engineering and Construction Engineering activities for Piping / Pipeline components, pressure vessels, tanks and similar equipment for the project(s) assigned, in accordance with the Company established procedures. Development of project specific specifications, piping layouts, design calculation, stress analysis, procurement specification & material engineering, field engineering. Interface with other disciplines, user departments and Clients. Assigning responsibilities to Designers & Draftsmen, activity planning, work scheduling and monitoring. Activity planning, work scheduling and monitoring. Inter disciplinary checks & co-ordination. Guiding in the preparation of Plot plans, Equipment layouts, piping layouts and checking / reviewing. Material Engineering which includes preparation of Purchase specifications, Purchase requisitions, technical bid analysis, Vendor document / drg evaluation after order. Site survey for jobs & bids, co-ordination with internal departments, Clients & Inspection Agencies Review of bid enquiry documents and clarifications / qualifications, estimation activities like MTO, , Engineering man hours Working Condition & Physical Effort: Normal office environment (mostly) Oil & Gas plants, Cross-country pipelines & new development areas during site visits / survey. Fabrication Yards (visit only) Key Interactions: Internal External Engineering Manager Clients / End Users / Main EPC Contractors / Proposal / Estimation Department Consultant Procurement Department Vendors, package suppliers, Other disciplines of Engineering Department Sub-Contractors Piping Engineers, Designers & Draftsmen. Inspection Agencies Projects Management Team QC Department Required Qualifications Preferred Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering Diploma in Piping Engineering / Master's degree in Mech. Engineering Experience 8 - 10 Years Minimum 4 - 5 experience in Oil & Gas industry, in consulting OR EPC company with Design & Engineering capability Special knowledge, abilities & skills Well experienced in Plot plans, Equipment layouts & Piping layouts. Sound knowledge of ASME B31.3 / B31.4 / B31.8 Well versed in Stress Analysis. Sound knowledge of Piping Materials & Valves and ASTM / ANSI / API / BS standards Knowledge of AutoCAD and drafting practices. Exposure to 3D drafting tools like CAD works/ Autodesk Plant 3D Site deputation experience Design experience in Onshore pipelines. Ability to write project specific specifications. Job Type: Full-time Salary: AED10,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month Ability to commute/relocate:
