Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate hydrotesting, pneumatic testing, and pre-commissioning activities for pipelines and associated systems. Ensure all testing works are performed in compliance with QatarEnergy specifications, ITPs, and approved method statements. Review and verify test packages, pressure test diagrams, and calibration certificates prior to testing. Oversee assembly of manifolds, pressure gauges, pumps, and recording equipment, ensuring safety and accuracy. Coordinate with QA/QC, HSE, and client representatives during test setup, execution, and inspection. Ensure safety and environmental precautions are strictly followed during pressure testing operations. Prepare and maintain daily test reports, pressure charts, and test records. Manage crew activities, equipment mobilization, and ensure all instruments are properly calibrated. Support flushing, drying, and reinstatement works after successful completion of tests. Liaise with client and project engineers to resolve technical issues promptly.

Qualifications & Experience

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Minimum 8-10 years' experience in pipeline hydrotesting and pre-commissioning within the oil & gas sector. QatarEnergy (QP) approval as Hydrotesting or Mechanical Supervisor is mandatory (certificate to be attached). In-depth knowledge of ASME, API, and QatarEnergy testing standards. Proven experience with carbon steel and GRE/GRP pipeline systems. Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills. Must be available in Qatar with a transferable visa and ready for immediate joining. Preferred Attributes Experience with pipeline networks, manifolds, and pressure testing equipment setup. Ability to interpret P&IDs, test packs, and line diagrams. Strong communication skills and client interface experience.
