Job summary/Role description The Pipeline Engineer is responsible of the site pipeline design activities in proposals and projects, generally supported by specialized Engineering Subcontractors and/or by engineers/specialists inside or outside Layout & Piping Department. Duties and responsibilities As project team member: He/she reports operatively to Project Engineering Manager or Layout & Piping Project Leader as far as project/proposal activities are concerned, according to the execution strategy and the pipelines relevant work magnitude: xc2xb7 To prepare and discuss with the Project Team and the Head of Department the execution strategy of the project (including the project schedule) and assure its application throughout the entire project life. xc2xb7 To lead and coordinate the execution of pipelines design activities during proposal phases, feasibility/conceptual study up to detail engineering phases, with the support of engineers/specialists inside or outside Layout & Piping Department and the involvement of specialized Engineering Subcontractors (for which he/she participates to the definition of the scope of work and manages the technical interface) in case of large scope of work, ensuring the compliance with the applicable contractual requirements, Codes, good engineering practice and Group document system (e.g standards, procedures, work instructions), meeting the given constraints of schedule and manhours budget. xc2xb7 To participate in the estimation of the materials and construction costs associated with the pipelines activities. xc2xb7 To ensure the required assistance to all the Project Stakeholders, including Proposal and Project Managers, Project Control, Procurement, Subcontracting, Construction, Commissioning. As a department member: xc2xb7 To provide a feedback to the concerned Head of Departments relevant to issues raised adopting procedures, Work Instructions and standards, in order to improve their effectiveness. xc2xb7 To participate in the preparation and update of the Group document system of competence and in the collection of the Lessons Learnt for the capitalization of the knowledge deriving from project experience. xc2xb7 To identify and contribute to develop improvement in work methodologies and design tools. xc2xb7 To contribute to the professional growth in the area of pipeline design and construction, resources of other Departments also through specific training courses in accordance with his/her own Department demand. Person Specification Knowledge & Qualifications xc2xb7 Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field. Experience xc2xb7 10 - 15 Years of relevant experience in EPC projects within the oil , gas & Petrochemical industry. Skills and Abilities xc2xb7 Strong understanding of engineering principles, project management methodologies, and technical documentation. xc2xb7 Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. xc2xb7 Proficiency in project management software and tools. xc2xb7 Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
