Job Summary

The Pipe Fitter (GI/MS Piping) is responsible for assembling, installing and maintaining galvanized iron (GI) and mild steel (MS) piping systems used for HVAC, compressed air lines, drainage, and industrial piping applications. The role requires precision, technical expertise, and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Measure, cut, thread, groove, and bend GI and MS pipes according to project requirements. Install pipes, fittings, valves, supports, hangers, and related components. Carry out welding, gas cutting, and fabrication work (if required). Inspect and test piping systems using pressure tests, leak tests, and other standard methods. Perform layout and marking of pipe routes on-site. Ensure proper alignment, joint quality, and finishing of installed piping systems. Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other trades (welders & HVAC technicians). Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean working area. Follow safety standards, company policies, and industry best practices at all times.

Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience as a Pipe Fitter specializing in GI/MS piping. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and isometrics. Practical experience with pipe threading, grooving, welding, and cutting tools. Strong knowledge of materials, pipe sizes, fittings, valves, and supports. Familiarity with testing procedures (hydrostatic, pneumatic, leak tests). Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Physically fit, able to work at heights, and capable of lifting heavy materials. Certification in relevant mechanical or pipefitting trade (preferred).

Work Environment

Construction sites, industrial plants, or mechanical workshops. May require shift work, overtime, and working in outdoor or confined space conditions.

Additional Requirements

Safety certifications (OSHA / NEBOSH / Confined Space Entry) are an advantage. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong commitment to quality and safety.

Pay: AED1,800.00 - AED2,200.00 per month
