Job Description

Job Purpose:

To install, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems used in construction, mechanical, and industrial applications, ensuring all work complies with drawings, specifications, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Read and interpret piping drawings, isometric sketches, and specifications. Measure, cut, thread, bend, and assemble pipes using hand and power tools. Install and align pipes, fittings, and supports according to layout plans. Fabricate and install pipe supports, hangers, and brackets. Conduct pressure tests and inspections to ensure system integrity and leak-free connections. Repair or replace defective pipes, fittings, and valves as needed. Coordinate with welders, plumbers, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow. Follow all site safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the work area and ensure tools and equipment are in good working condition.

Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience as a Pipe Fitter or in a similar role. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, piping diagrams, and technical drawings. Knowledge of different types of pipes (carbon steel, PVC, copper, stainless steel, etc.) and fittings. Skilled in the use of pipe-fitting tools and equipment. Understanding of welding, threading, and flanging techniques. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards. Physical stamina and ability to work in confined spaces and various weather conditions. Valid QID Valid Certificate
