Study blueprints and specifications to determine the layout of piping systems and plan installation or repair work.
Assemble, cut, thread, and weld pipes, ensuring they are securely attached to walls and fixtures with brackets and clamps.
Inspect, maintain, and repair existing piping systems to ensure proper functioning and screen for leaks.
Work with various materials such as steel and PVC and use appropriate tools like cutting torches and pipe threaders.
Follow safety guidelines and protocols, especially when working with hazardous materials or in potentially dangerous conditions.
Job Requirements:
Proficiency with tools and machinery used for pipe installation, including welding and cutting equipment.
Understanding of piping systems, materials, and specifications for various industrial, commercial, and residential applications.
Ability to work in various environments, including heights and confined spaces, and lift heavy materials.
