Job Description

Responsible for mixing paints, matching colours, preparing surfaces, and applying paint to the surfaces. May perform touch-ups or coordinate large painting projects related to the maintenance/renovation works. o Apply paint to surfaces including canvas, walls, floors, doors, and cabinets. o Mix, match, and apply all types of paints, varnish, shellac, enamel, and other finishes. o Scrape, sandpaper, prime, or seal surfaces before painting. o Clean walls to ensure proper adherence. o Cover surfaces with cloth or plastic to ensure the protection of assets, like furniture, computers other electronic equipment and flooring, etc. o Have the ability to remove and installation of wall covering (wallpaper). o A knowledge to request the required materials for the painting, wallpapers, and required tools and accessories to execute the job. o Fill cracks, holes, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillers, using caulking guns or putty knives. o Utilize spray guns for small/large jobs. o Work on ladders to reach high ceilings or walls. o Basic knowledge to erect scaffolding, movable and immovable staging to get access to difficult areas; move furniture and equipment as necessary. o Remove all mounting fixtures before executing the painting or wallpaper works. o Apply several coats of paint according to the directions of the immediate In-charge or as per the site requirement. o Tape off areas when needed. o Need to make the neat, and tidy the area after completion of the job, and remove the paint drums, plastic or other unused and remaining items to be stored at a designated place as per the instruction of the immediate In charge. o Clean up all equipment, including brushes and spray guns.

Minimum Qualification

Academic Qualification:

High School or above.



Preferred Qualification

Technical Qualification:

Certification in painting works about the understanding of Color Theory, various Finishes and types of painting material, and wall covering (wallpaper).



Expected Skills

Experience:

5 years and above experience in a similar field and Gulf Experience at least a minimum of 3 years.
