The Pickup driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of furniture items between the warehouse, showroom, and customer locations. The role includes loading and unloading furniture, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage, and complying with UAE traffic laws and company safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operate heavy vehicles safely and efficiently to transport furniture items as per delivery schedules.
Load and unload furniture manually or with assistance, ensuring items are handled with care to avoid damage.
Ensure furniture is properly packed, secured, and protected during transportation.
Assist warehouse and showroom teams during loading and unloading operations.
Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues or damages to management.
Maintain cleanliness and good condition of the assigned vehicle at all times.
Follow delivery instructions, routes, and timelines provided by the operations team.
Ensure delivery documents are completed accurately and signed by customers when required.
Adhere strictly to UAE traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures.
Maintain professional behavior and courteous communication with customers and staff.
Requirements & Qualifications
Valid UAE Vehicle Driving License.
Minimum
2 years of experience
as a heavy vehicle driver, preferably in the
furniture or logistics industry
.
Experience in loading and unloading heavy furniture items is mandatory.
Good knowledge of Dubai and UAE road networks.
Physically fit and capable of handling heavy lifting.
Basic understanding of delivery documentation.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends if required.
Good communication skills and a responsible attitude.
Preferred Skills
Experience in furniture delivery and installation support.
Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety checks.
Team player with a strong work ethic.
