We are seeking a passionate and experienced Part-Time Piano Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music education and a love for teaching piano to students of all ages and skill levels. This role is perfect for someone looking to inspire and nurture musical talent in a flexible, part-time capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
Piano Instruction:
Provide one-on-one and small group piano lessons to students ranging from beginners to advanced levels.
Curriculum Development:
Develop and implement personalized lesson plans tailored to each student's needs, goals, and learning pace.
Student Progress Monitoring:
Track and assess student progress regularly, offering constructive feedback and adjusting lessons as needed.
Recitals & Performances:
Prepare students for recitals, exams, and performances, encouraging them to showcase their skills.
Parent Communication:
Maintain open and regular communication with parents regarding student progress and any relevant updates.
Lesson Planning:
Ensure that each lesson is engaging, educational, and enjoyable, fostering a love for music in each student.
Studio Management Support:
Assist with administrative tasks related to scheduling, billing, and student records as needed.
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Music, Piano Performance, Music Education, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching piano to students of various ages and skill levels.
Visa:
Must have own visa
Skills:
Proficiency in piano performance and music theory.
Must be fluent in English
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, creativity, and a passion for teaching.
Ability to inspire and motivate students to reach their full potential.
Familiarity with a range of musical styles and genres.
Preferred Qualities:
Experience preparing students for music exams (e.g., ABRSM, RCM) is a plus.
Ability to teach additional instruments or music theory is an advantage.
Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed.
Fluency in Chinese Mandarin is an advantage.
