Job Specifications for Physical Education Teachers;

• The PE Teacher counsel, advise, encourage, interact with and develop all Students of mixed ability to become enthusiastic and reach their potential in physical education and personal development.
• Teach Physical Education within the school and promote, coordinate and participate in sports activities throughout the school year.
• Plan and prepare lessons in advance in collaboration with colleagues and ensure that learning is kept within curriculum targets.
• Ensure all training is conducted in an enthusiastic, dynamic, challenging, realistic and safe manner in line with the training objectives and current modern philosophy and teaching methods.
• Carry out assessment procedures and marking policies as outlined and organized by the schools guidelines.
• Record and report on the development, progress and attainment of students including initiating meetings with parents to discuss attainment and progress.
• Keep a disciplined class whilst promoting the general well-being of students.
• Organize PE / Sport workshops for staff and parents when appropriate.
• Participate in the provision of co-curricular activities including liaising with other schools and clubs to arrange fixtures.
• Maintain resources and facilities to the required safety standards and renew, as necessary within the budgetary allowance.
• Book sports facilities (like swimming pools, fields, tennis courts) and carry out the necessary administration as required.
• Write subject development plans, curriculum documents and policies in liaison with the responsible managers.
• Promote developments within PE and identify and report any associated staff development requirements to the responsible manager.
• Carry out playground duties as timetabled or when necessary.
• Maintain an appropriate awareness of and work effectively within the policies and procedures of the school.
• Operate safely within the workplace and maintain a high standard of practice.
• Behave professionally at all times and maintain confidentiality of information.
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of the students that fall under your responsibility or that you come into contact with.
• Personal attributes require a strong team member,with obvious inherent enthusiasm and passion to work alongside a variety of staff.

• Awareness of and sensitivity to Islamic culture.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Physical Education plus/including Teaching Degree/PGCE or recognized equivalent.
• PE and Sports experience - teaching and practical.
• First aid qualification
• Further relevant professional qualifications and professional development work.
• Minimum of 3 years of successful teaching experience preferably in High School/Diploma level.Language
• Excellent oral and written English essential with IELTS Academic 7.0
• Spoken and written Arabic is desirable
