Job Description
2.1 Prepares medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders; detecting therapeutic incompatibilities. 2.2 Dispenses medications by, packaging, and labelling pharmaceuticals. 2.3 Controls medications by monitoring drug therapies; advising interventions. 2.4 Completes pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians' work flow; verifying their preparation and labelling of pharmaceuticals; verifying order entries, charges, and inspections. 2.5 Provides pharmacological information by answering questions and requests of health care professionals; counselling patients on drug therapies. 2.6 Maintain updated records such as pharmacy files, patient profiles, charge system files, inventories and controlled drug registers. 2.7 Getting approvals from insurance companies using on line ppm or via phone. 2.8 Maintain proper compliance logs including for refrigerator temperature. 2.9 Keeping up-to-date with current pharmacy practice regulated by Health Authority of Abu Dhabi-HAAD. 2.10 Continuous medical education through attending lectures and conferences related to Pharmacy field.
