Dispense medications by compounding, packaging, and labelling pharmaceuticals.
Control medications by monitoring drug therapies; advising interventions.
Complete pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians' workflow, verifying their preparation, and labelling of pharmaceuticals, and verifying order entries, charges, and inspections.
Provide pharmacological information by answering questions and requests of health care professionals and counselling patients on drug therapies.
Maintain records for controlled substances and removes outdated and damaged drugs from the pharmacy inventory.
Supervise the work results of support personnel.
Maintain current registration, studies existing and new legislation, anticipates legislation, and advises management on needed actions.
Protect patients and technicians by adhering to infection-control protocols.
Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Communicate with team members related to system and operations regularly.
