Job Title: Pharmacist - Production JII Division: Technical Operations – Production Country: UNITED ARAB EMIRATES Work Location: UAE (RAK head office) Job Type: Pharmacist Employment Type: Full Time Employment (Limited Contract) : Purpose: Pharmacist – the role holder is responsible to supervise and maintain the manufacturing operations in any of Julphar production facility as per the cGMP norms, Good laboratory practices and respective guidelines. Organize the smooth functioning of production department of applicable plant and preparing SOP’s and conducting training to production staff. Responsible to help to discover safe and effective new drugs, develop them into effective medicines, and monitor the finished product to customers. As well as assist in production by interpreting and providing recommendations, you will also prepare pharmaceuticals by reviewing and interpreting physicians’ directives and detect any incompatibilities in the production process. In this role you must be customer-focused and remain up to date with the latest advances in pharmaceutical science. Key responsibilities & Accountability: Key Responsibilities & Key Result Areas Supervise and maintain the manufacturing operations in any of Julphar production facility as per the cGMP norms and respective guidelines. Organize the smooth functioning of production department of applicable plant. In this role, you will be responsible to help to discover safe and effective new drugs, develop them into effective medicines, and monitor the finished product to customers. Provide information and advice about drugs, their side effects, and proper storage. Check and follow up: GMP zoning, Environments monitoring Parameters, Equipment check Follow up, Calibration & preventive Maintenance in accordance with GMP principles. Receiving and reviewing raw and primary production Materials. Material preparation, CIP & SIP: formulation tank, Mobile Tanks, Sterile filling tanks, Washing and Sterilization of cartridges, plunger stoppers and combi-seals, Filtration, Filling Machine Parts. Processing: Dispensing raw materials, Formulation, Material preparation, Filtration, Filling, Inspection, Labelling, and Shipment in accordance with GMP principle. Manufacturing methods “MFM”, process flow charts, process description and in-process control check tests. Ensure and monitor that the Production/Production process is as per the standard procedures. Prepare Standard Operating procedure (SOP) for related Plants. Review and update SOPs as required for any changes. Review all calculations related to the manufacturing process and material requisitions. Documentation: on line updating and maintaining the GMP documents in accordance with the regulatory equipment. Responsible to handle of SAP processes. Coordinate with the Engineering Department for all Engineering work: HVAC, Water System, and Validation. Keep records such as pharmacy files, inventories, and registries of poisons, narcotics or controlled drugs. Plan, implement and maintain procedures for mixing, production, packaging and labelling pharmaceuticals according to policy and legal requirements to ensure quality, security and proper disposal. Assess the identity, strength or purity of medications Must work in close coordination with the department to gather in-depth understanding of the nature of their function to be able to provide the needed support to it. Work with other healthcare professionals to plan, monitor, review, or evaluate the quality or effectiveness of drugs. Keep abreast of advancements in medicine by attending conferences and seminars, Life-long learning to keep up to date with new drugs and treatments is required. Qualifications: - Education 4 years Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy is mandatory. Valid UAE Pharmacist license to practice the profession is required. - Experience: At least 3-5 years’ experience in similar organization in pharma / Health care / Medical Industry. - Training: Key Competencies: Should have handled similar role in the past for better fitment in the role. Good command in English & Arabic (communicating, writing and speaking). Proficient in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word, etc.). Knowledge in Drug Store will be preferred. Proven experience with Pharma Manufacturing operations, product process, and production. Pervious Knowledge with GMP practices. Technical Competencies:
