In this position, you must be a knowledgeable professional with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You should be familiar with administrative and clinical processes, be able to operate respiratory therapy equipment, and stay informed of new regulations and laws.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor patient medication therapy, including counseling, recommending therapeutic alternatives, and evaluating the effects and outcomes.

• Ensure accuracy and efficiency of inventory management processes from prescription entry to product delivery.

• Participate in medication therapy management programs, such as diabetes management and smoking cessation.

• Consult with healthcare providers, educators, and preschool administrators on medication usage and address inquiries.

• Maintain and update medication records and test results, identify unsafe practice, and report suspicious orders.

• Interpret, monitor, and manage received orders to resolve accuracy and efficiency issues.

• Educate patients and caregivers about the use of medications, including offering drug information, availability of generic drugs, and drug interactions.

• Stay up-to-date with developments in the field through medical journals and continuing education classes.

Requirements:

• Licensed Pharmacist with at least 3 years of experience in a Pharmacy setting.

• Familiarity with the principles and practices of pharmacy service and medication-related issues.

• Knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.

• Proficient in the use of computer-aided healthcare systems.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a variety of people.

• Willingness to work irregular hours and weekends as needed.
