Job Description

We are looking for a pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medications, providing counseling to patients, ensuring medication safety, and collaborating with healthcare providers to promote optimal therapeutic outcomes. The role includes medication management, patient education, and supporting the healthcare team to ensure the best treatment results.

Responsibilities

:

Accurately prepare and dispense prescribed medications in the appropriate forms (tablets etc.), in compliance with medical and legal standards. Ensure correct labeling and packaging of medications, including patient-specific instructions. Counsel patients on the safe and proper use of prescribed medications, including over the counter. Educate patients on managing chronic conditions through medication, lifestyle changes, and preventive measures. Monitor and review prescriptions for safety, accuracy, and appropriateness based on patient medical history and clinical conditions. Identify and resolve any discrepancies, such as drug interactions, allergies, or contraindications. Manage medication inventory to ensure adequate stock levels and timely reordering of medications. Monitor medication expiration dates and ensure the proper disposal of expired drugs. Maintain accurate records of all medication dispensed, patient counseling, and interactions. Ensure the pharmacy complies with Qatari regulations, including those set by the Qatar Ministry of Public Health and the Pharmacy and Drug Control Department. Participate in ongoing professional development programs and training to maintain licensure. Provide guidance and training to pharmacy interns, assistants, or other healthcare staff.

Required Qualifications:

A Bachelor's/master's degree in pharmacy from a recognized institution.

A valid pharmacy license issued by the Qatar Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) or the relevant regulatory body

. 05- years of experience working as a pharmacist in a retail pharmacy, is highly preferred. Knowledge of pharmaceutical laws and regulations in Qatar is a plus. Strong understanding of pharmacology, drug interactions, side effects, and patient safety. Excellent communication skills in English;

proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
