Roles and Responsibilities
\xc3\x82 To interpret, transcribe, prepare and dispense outpatient drug orders \xc3\x82 Responsible for the control and supply of controlled drugs in the hospital and maintenance of their inventory. \xc3\x82 To advise and check nursing units on the proper storage of drugs and their proper documentation of usage. \xc3\x82 To perform the professional duties of a Pharmacist in supplying of medications, advising patients on the proper use of medications, and providing drug information to doctors and nurses. \xc3\x82 To perform the duties of a Purchasing Pharmacist on a rotational basis \xc3\x82 To assist in the training and supervision of pharmacy assistants and pharmacist interns \xc3\x82 To conduct in-service education classes for Pharmacy and nursing personnel. \xc3\x82 To update and maintain required Pharmacy Quality records, listings and reports. \xc3\x82 To assist in the monitoring of departmental key performance indicators. \xc3\x82 To assist in the maintenance of the equipment and facilities of the department. \xc3\x82 Establishes and maintains methods and manner of storage and recordkeeping systems to provide for safekeeping of pharmaceuticals. \xc3\x82 Takes patient histories as required; makes initial clinical assessments and refers patients to appropriate clinicians. \xc3\x82 Responsible for completion of third-party insurance forms and other paperwork. \xc3\x82 Follows MOH and DOH rules and regulations. \xc3\x82 Monitor the nearing expiry/expired items in order to dispose them according to the policy. \xc3\x82 Responsible for keep confidential computerized records of patients\xc3\xa2\xe2\x82\xac\xe2\x84\xa2 drug therapies to prevent harmful drug interactions. \xc3\x82 Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. \xc3\x82 Follows established departmental policies, procedures and objectives continuous quality improvement objectives and ensure pharmacy staff compliance \xc3\x82 To perform any other duty as required by the line manager or supervisor that commensurate with the post.

Qualifications Required:

  • BSc (Bachelors) Degree in Pahramcy
  • Minimum years of Experience in related field: ( 2 years )
