Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong Petrochemical Technical Executive for our Dubai office. The ideal candidate will have a Chemistry or Petrochemical engineering background and will be responsible for handling product specifications, laboratory testing coordination, technical evaluation of petrochemical products, and quality documentation support for the trading team. Prior exposure to solvents, aromatics, fuel oils, and SGS/COA interpretation will be a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Review, prepare, and verify technical product specifications, MSDS, TDS, and quality-related documents for petrochemical products. Coordinate with third-party laboratories and inspection agencies (SGS, Intertek, etc.) for sample testing and analysis. Interpret and verify Certificates of Analysis (COA) and inspection reports to ensure compliance with trade contracts. Conduct technical evaluation of solvents, aromatics, fuel oils, and other petrochemical products prior to sourcing and shipment. Support the trading and sales team with technical inputs, quality confirmations, and product compliance documentation. Liaise with suppliers and customers for technical clarifications, specification alignment, and quality-related negotiations. Maintain accurate records of test reports, specifications, approvals, and quality certificates. Assist in resolving quality claims, off-spec issues, and inspections discrepancies. Ensure compliance with international quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Petrochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field (mandatory). Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in petrochemical trading, quality control, or laboratory coordination (preferred). Strong technical knowledge of solvents, aromatics, fuel oils, and basic refinery products. Hands-on experience in handling SGS, COA, MSDS, and laboratory test reports. Ability to read, understand, and validate ASTM, ISO, and standard test parameters. Strong coordination skills with labs, surveyors, suppliers, and internal trading teams. Excellent documentation, attention to detail, and analytical skills. Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and technical reporting. Good communication skills in English (spoken and written).
