About the Job:

The Gym at Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort, Abu Dhabi is looking for an ambitious, performance-driven Personal Trainer to work with guests and members by assessing them and developing a fitness & health program that meets the guest/member\'s objectives. Your main duties will include the following:

• Complete day-to-day activities by following all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner while delivering a quality service to guests and maintaining standards of excellence.

• Adhere to and prioritize all relevant Health, Safety and Environment management procedures and controls within a defined area of activity so that Jumeirah Group provides world class and luxurious hospitality services to its guests.

• Screen potential members to determine if they can be physical trained and to understand their fitness goals and aspirations and assign the best training regime / fitness plan.

• Perform a fitness assessment of members to structure their training regimen accordingly.

• Give full and safe fitness instruction and guidance through Gym induction sessions, as required by individuals using the facility. \xe2\x80\xa2

• Monitor the client to ensure they are on the right track in achieving their fitness and health objectives.

• Motivate exercisers to return to training sessions at a regular schedule so physical progress can continue steadily.

• Promote and encourage personal training sessions, internal programs, and services to club members to contribute to the Fitness Centre\'s sales targets

• It is an essential requirement in the role that the Personal Trainer actively contribute to reaching the health club financial targets by selling Personal Training sessions

• Ensure the general cleanliness and maintenance of the gymnasium equipment and surrounding areas daily.

• Maintain order and cleanliness of all areas in the gym and its equipment, including cardiovascular area, resistance and free weights area and the gym office/assessment room. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure that weights (dumbbells, plates etc.) are replaced on the weight racks in order and on a regular basis.

• Check all audio equipment in aerobics studio and in gym (headphones, transmitters, TV) during opening and closing shift and make sure they are in working order and report any malfunctions immediately.

• Ensure there is always a Fitness Instructor on the gym floor and offer stretching sessions to in-house guests.

• Perform related tasks and duties as assigned and deemed responsible by management.

• Perform Group classes as assigned.

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

Internationally recognized Personal Training Certification equivalent to REPS level 3

2 to 4 years of fitness training experience; preferably with an international company.

Ability to act as a role model to clients through own athletic body shape / aspirational.

Excellent instruction and training skills.

Excellent knowledge of the Fitness Industry

Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

Good motivational and communication skills.

Good judgment skills to balance fitness requirements and abilities

Very good command of the English language. Additional Skills such as Yoga, Pilates, Barre and any other specialty is a great advantage.
