People and Organization Manager - Majid Al Futtaim Retail Hypermarket - Dubai, UAE
Position Overview
The People and Organization Manager role in Dubai supports frontline retail operations by leading workforce planning, employee engagement, and people practices across multiple hypermarket locations. This position partners closely with operations leadership to ensure compliance, capability building, and a positive, high-performance work environment for large frontline teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure optimal staffing levels across stores through effective workforce planning and coordination with recruitment teams
  • Monitor frontline performance and support store leadership with regular reviews and targeted interventions
  • Manage employee relations matters including grievances, investigations, and disciplinary actions in line with policy and UAE labor law
  • Oversee onboarding processes and ensure consistent execution of frontline training programs
  • Review attendance, absenteeism, and timekeeping trends and implement corrective actions where required
  • Ensure consistent delivery of core people and organization processes including performance reviews, probation reviews, talent identification, and performance improvement plans
  • Support implementation of structural and operational changes such as new operating models or restructuring initiatives
  • Drive rollout and follow-up of frontline development programs to build leadership capability and support career progression
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • 5 to 7 years of people and organization experience, with at least 2 to 3 years within the retail sector
  • Strong knowledge of UAE labor laws and compliance practices
  • Solid understanding of workforce planning, scheduling, and attendance management
  • Proven experience supporting large frontline teams across multiple sites or zones
  • Fluent Arabic speaker with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
