Job Description

The Pediatric Dentist will provide comprehensive oral health care for infants, children, and adolescents, including those with special healthcare needs. The role involves diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of oral diseases, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience for young patients in compliance with HAAD/DOH standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Examine, diagnose, and treat dental issues in infants, children, and adolescents. Provide preventive dental care including fluoride treatments, sealants, and oral hygiene instructions. Perform restorative procedures such as fillings, crowns, pulpotomies, and extractions. Manage dental emergencies including pain, trauma, and infections. Develop treatment plans tailored to the needs of each child, in consultation with parents/guardians. Educate parents and children on proper oral hygiene practices and dietary habits. Provide behavior management techniques to ensure a comfortable environment for children. Offer dental care to children with special healthcare needs with appropriate modifications. Maintain accurate patient records as per HAAD/DOH regulations. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient care. Adhere strictly to infection control and sterilization protocols. Participate in continuing education to stay updated on advancements in pediatric dentistry.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Dentistry (BDS/DDS/DMD) from a recognized institution. Master's degree or recognized specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry is preferred. Valid HAAD/DOH license or eligibility as a Pediatric Dentist. Minimum of 2-3 years' experience as a Pediatric Dentist (post-graduation). Excellent communication skills with children and parents. Strong interpersonal and team collaboration abilities. Compassionate, patient, and skilled in child-friendly dental care techniques.

Work Conditions:

Full-time position. Based in Abu Dhabi. Must comply with HAAD/DOH regulations and the clinic's policies.
