Amazon seeks a Payroll Team Leader in Dubai to coordinate Payroll for Amazon employees in Middle East (ME) countries. We are looking for a strong operational first line manager with excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will lead 5 team members. The role is a fantastic opportunity for a leader who wants to raise the bar for the payroll team, and set the team up for success. This role is part of the EMEA Payroll Management Team. It is critical to Amazon\'s ongoing success that we provide the highest service to our employees. Your main responsibilities will be to establish a culture of service to deliver the best payroll experience to Amazon\'s employees; to constantly improve the team\'s job satisfaction; and to ensure adherence to existing policies and statutory requirements.
To build, inspire, and motivate a team of payroll analysts and the payroll vendor to constantly raise the bar
To remove blockers for your team so they can provide the best internal customer service, including daily monitoring of key performance indicators
To foster a culture in which it\'s ok to fail but it is rigorous with the learning journey to correct the path going forward
To manage the end-to-end payroll processing cycle for employees across multiple locations in ME
To support statutory compliance, internal/external audits, benefits administration, and payroll system/process changes
To liaise with key business partners throughout the ME to coordinate / communicate processes, calendars, and other activities related to the payroll cycle
To implement and monitor internal controls over input and output data
To coordinate cash funding process with vendors and Treasury
To implement new countries or incorporate new locations as growth or acquisitions occur

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of team management experience - Experience using data to influence business decisions - Customer oriented and ready to serve - Experience owning operations with high volume of transactional inputs and outputs - Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment - A work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations - Strong interpersonal skills, including persuasive written and oral communication skills - Willingness to travel, domestic and international (25%)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of international payroll management experience - Deep knowledge of payroll and local legislation - Strong organizational and project management skills - SOX compliance experience - Strong knowledge of ERP functionalities and capabilities - Kaizen leader or Greenbelt certification - Don\'t meet every single requirement?
