We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable
Payroll Officer (Emiratisation)
to join the team at ESM. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees, in full compliance with UAE Labour regulations and company policies.
You will act as a key liaison between Finance and HR, managing all aspects of employee compensation, deductions, and payroll reporting. Key Objectives
Process monthly payroll accurately and on time, including salaries, overtime, bonuses, and final settlements, in compliance with UAE labor laws.
Coordinate closely with both Finance and HR to ensure all payroll inputs (e.g., new joiners, terminations, promotions, deductions, and leave records) are accurate and up to date.
Manage and track staff loans and salary advances, ensuring proper documentation, approvals, and recovery through payroll.
Maintain accurate employee payroll records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
Reconcile payroll reports with Finance and assist in audits, budgeting, and statutory compliance (e.g., WPS, insurance, and end-of-service benefits).
Respond to employee queries regarding payroll and support continuous improvement of payroll processes and systems.
Set of Required Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Desired Experience
2-4 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in the UAE or GCC region.
Strong understanding of UAE labour law, WPS regulations, and end-of-service benefits.
Experience using HR/payroll software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, or similar).
Job-Specific Knowledge & Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting principles.
Familiarity with HR processes related to employee life cycle, loans, and benefits is an advantage.
Ability to manage workload and assignments in order to meet objectives and deadlines
