About the Role:
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Payroll Officer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness. This role is crucial in maintaining employee trust and ensuring seamless financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing & Accuracy:
  • Accurately calculate monthly salaries, overtime, allowances, and all statutory deductions (e.g., income tax, social security).
  • Ensure timely and accurate disbursement of salaries through the UAE's Wage Protection System (WPS).
  • Process final settlements for departing employees.
  • Record Keeping & Documentation:
  • Maintain confidential and up-to-date employee payroll records, including personal data, salary information, and leave balances.
  • Ensure all payroll documentation is organized and audit-ready.
  • Compliance & Reporting:
  • Ensure all payroll practices are in strict compliance with UAE Labor Law and internal company policies.
  • Generate and submit accurate payroll reports for the Finance and HR departments.
  • Prepare necessary reports for government authorities as required.
  • Coordination & Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the HR department to validate attendance data from biometrics/time sheets.
  • Coordinate with HR to incorporate leave, attendance, and any disciplinary adjustments into payroll.
  • Sync leave records (annual, sick, unpaid) with payroll for accurate deductions or payouts.
  • Employee Support:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee queries related to salaries, deductions, bonus calculations, and leave balances.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies promptly and professionally.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of proven experience in payroll processing and accounts. Candidates with UAE payroll experience are highly preferred. Candidates currently in their home country with relevant experience who can join immediately are also encouraged to apply.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially advanced Excel skills.
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS systems, ERP software, and payroll-specific platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge of the UAE Wage Protection System (WPS) is a significant advantage.
  • Competencies:
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities to meet strict deadlines.
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of UAE Labor Law and its application to payroll.
